Yeh, needless to say, what with ape on human violence on the uprise these days, this is an apt representation of a 1970's fear still to be realized: Ape Revolt!
This particular bit of carnage courtesy of the inimitable Beau Smith and artist Kevin Bernhardt, from a comic called PRIMATE back in 2001, concerning a gorilla with two gigantic knives taking it to some poacher types in the best possible way.
